This compact battery sensor helps to monitor the power supply and battery capacity in the motorhome or caravan. It precisely determines the battery parameters voltage, current and temperature. Based on these measured values, information about the state of charge (SOC), the aging of the battery (SOH) and the expected startability (SOF) are calculated algorithmically. Via the standardized LIN protocol, the IBS can be integrated directly into the vehicle's electrical system, e.g. CI bus.

The IBS Generation II is attached directly to the negative terminal of the battery via the pole terminal. In addition to the terminal, the mechanical part of the sensor consists of the components shunt and ground bolt. At the ground bolt, the existing ground cable can be conveniently attached with a cable lug.
