Similar to the ESP system in a passenger car, the AL-KO ATC permanently monitors the driving behaviour of the trailer or caravan. In driving situations that cause the trailer to roll, the lateral acceleration sensors of the ATC control electronics detect the slightest lateral movement even before ESP for trailers in the car can register the oscillating movement. The pendant is gently braked immediately. A few seconds of braking power are sufficient until the team is back in a safe driving condition.
AL-KO ATC can be operated in addition to a trailer ESP in a passenger car.
